THE PEOPLE & THE APPROACH

Carry your values into a new context.

This program is for military community members preparing for corporate work. It treats service experience as varied and individual, not a diagnosis or a single communication style.

ABOUT ME

JEAN NICKSON PIJEAU

Captain, USA Retired

CVT founder · Proposer of the Corporate Value Triad

I’m Jean Nickson Pijeau, a retired U.S. Army Captain. I created CVT Transition Academy to help service members and veterans translate their experience into corporate work while keeping their commitment to the team.

My approach brings shared credit together with a clear account of each person’s contribution. You can explain what you did, recognize the people who helped, and give others useful evidence of your work.

CVT is a framework I’m developing, and the Academy turns its questions into practical exercises to help you prepare, reflect, and communicate.

Practice with concrete outputs

The curriculum helps learners examine role requirements, translate actions into plain language, prepare stories, clarify decision rights, and plan development. These are proposed practices. Course effectiveness, employment benefits, and promotion outcomes have not been established.

The Corporate Value Triad

CVT was proposed by Jean Nickson Pijeau, version 0.1, October 2026, with a research update on October 19, 2026. It distinguishes contribution, visibility, attribution, recognition, and reward. Its archetypes overlap and are not fixed employee types.

The Collective Attribution Paradox, Attribution Dilution Effect, and Contribution Signaling are proposed constructs requiring literature review and empirical validation. They can help frame questions about recognition differences that might arise without deliberate credit appropriation. They are not established scientific findings or validated diagnoses.

What existing research supports

VanEpps, Hart, and Schweitzer (2024) reported seven preregistered studies in which combining self-promotion with credit to others produced more favorable impressions of warmth and competence than self-promotion alone. The comparison does not establish that team-only descriptions harm veterans’ careers, that this course improves advancement, or that a particular workplace decision was unfair.

Learning checks and completion

Checks reinforce lesson concepts. The completion record indicates that the learner completed checks and saved a portfolio activity; it does not assess the quality of that work or certify leadership or employment readiness.

Independent of official programs
